Bubble Tea Papercraft (Download Printable)
My daughter is absolutely in love with bubble tea so I created a bubble tea papercraft project on my own! I must say that this is my first creation of a downloadable template so let me know if you have any feedback to improve.
You can simply print, cut out, and create your own three-dimensional boba!
Using my templates, I have created 4 different flavours:
- milk tea
- matcha,
- taro milk
- banding
I have also created the above variations with cute faces which is popular for tweens and teens.
All the templates have dome lids and come with red stripy straws. If you’re savvy with an editing program like Illustrator, you could edit the file to create your own custom flavours and other coloured straws as well.
I designed this project in mind that these are great for kids about 8 years old to try because the template makes it super easy to do. It is great for adults like me who like papercraft. Just print, cut, and glue! Perfect for a rainy day or if you’re just looking for an easy craft.
Here is what our bubble tea papercraft looks like after it is downloaded, printed and assembled:

We recommend that you take a look at the origins of the dragon boat festival before embarking on this simple dragon boat art and craft. We always feel that understanding the origins and why children are doing this also as important as the process itself.
Shipping: NIL. This is a download.
Recommended age: 8 years and up.
Origins of Bubble Tea
Bubble tea (also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea, tapioca milk tea, or boba tea or boba; 珍珠奶茶 / 泡泡茶) is a tea-based drink containing chewy tapioca balls (“boba” or “pearls”), that originated in Taiwan in the early 1980s. Bubble tea has many varieties and flavours; creative teahouse has come up with bubble tea with black sugar, cheese on top and even different flavours of bubbles.
Though there are different stories about how boba tea was invented, all of them told similar stories of how the founder put the topical balls into tea. It became popular and that is how this concoction spread to the world.
Ideas for Bubble Tea Themed Party
Coming back to why I created this download, yes, I did it for my daughter’s birthday party. Here are some ideas for your own Bubble tea party
- Balloon Decoration – Use a bubble tea template to make a giant bubble tea cup decor.
- Bubble Tea Paper Craft – Yes, this is a fun art and craft workshop for the kids to do when they are here.
- Bubble Tea Making Workshop – What is a bubble tea-themed party without bubble tea. The party-goers can make their own sugar-free bubble tea by mixing their own concoction and putting their own sugar-free pearls. (Yes, we are pretty concerned about the sugar levels of such drinks,)
- Bubble Show
- Science Show – Professor Messy incorporate magic into his science show
- Science Workshops – Professor Messy will explain the science behind the bubble tea pearls via slime and lava lamp workshops.
- Bubble Themed Tea Goodie Bags – There are bubble tea T-shirts and cushions which you can give as door gifts for the children.
